…Because as soon as you’ve forgotten about landing

You can fall with wild and reckless abondon,

And it feels, like flying. Trust me…

An update:

I am currently attending Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, California. It is great to be off the boat and getting some more training in the gifts of the Spirit. The training is very much getting an education in prophetic ministry like Samuel’s, Elijah’s, and Isaiah’s schools that they attended. I am understanding the prophetic as God ordained it.

My school is foremost a church (Bethel Church) and the school has over 800 first years, a few hundred second years, and many third year interns. I am planning to stay here for all three years and receive some inner healing and revelation so that my ministry afterwards will be all the better. My classes typically look like a period of worship followed by a couple of lectures taught by leaders of the church or guess speakers (nearly all are world renown preachers and teachers, prophets, scholars, and healers). I have many books to read at home. School has been in for less than two months and I already have 10 books (some reference books) given to me by the school. The environment of the Church and of Redding is amazing and God is truly moving here, healing people both inside and out.

This is my latest project yet. A slackline walk across some rapids about 30 feet above the water below. It’s the biggest walk I have done to this date. This is the first time I have ever tried to walk over anything more than concrete and grass. It’s an awesome project and it’s going to give us something to work at for a good long time to come. :D

I took a ride out to Red Rock yesterday and spent the evening out there trying to figure out some things in life. On the bottom right you can see one of the tanks that goes pretty deep. It was a good little walk and sunset.

Change. It’s always happening.

I had major doubts a couple days ago about going to Hope International University and taking the online courses from home. I came back to the states to get training and application of the theory, to be taught the practical and apply it. I called the University and tried to talk to an admissions counselor but she wasn’t there. When I went to give my phone number and name the person on the other line recognized the name and we realized that we are friends! I asked if Hope is like any other Bible College and if they teach the application of the practical or if it’s more theory (like the history of Jesus and His ministry and the history of Christianity). She confirmed my doubts and uneasiness and after a couple hours of processing, praying, and talking to the people closest to me I came to the realization that while I have been away I have been listening to pod casts from Bethel Church in Redding California. They have a School of Supernatural Ministry and I was coming back to the states seeking out training like theirs and now realize that I found something different.

In the past 48 hours God has taken my life and flipped it upside down. My application with Hope University was not working out. I was facing problems online with the Internet all of a sudden freezing when I was trying to submit my application. I see it now as God guiding me, giving me the compass and heading and now he’s guiding me through my journey.

Yesterday I submitted an application to Bethel’s School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, California. Redding is North of San Francisco and is about 100,000 people strong. One of our good friends of the family use to tell us that in order to find a college you needed to first find a church that will spiritually mature you and that you will grow in. From there find the college close to it. My spiritual growth is the most important growth to me. I have been listening to Bethel’s pod casts online for the past 6 months and the church has impacted me in a way I cannot describe.

I am a late applicant however and the school is extremely small (only a couple hundred students for each year). Right now I have done everything I can do and it is in God’s hand.

When I returned back to Las Vegas I was excited to be able to have the chance to get training and also live at home with my family. But now I realize that it is impossible to get the training I left the boat for here in Las Vegas. If accepted I would leave Las Vegas (again, I know) and move to Redding, California.

For those that have not known me long this is usually how God works in my life. A compass and a heading and things like change in schools usually come together at the last minute. It’s just who I am and it is embedded in my DNA.

God is good and works through you.

Las Vegas

Well I made it back in Las Vegas last week! Going back to the ship for the month I realized now was the best thing I could have done. It was a challenge at times to finish strongly and I feel that I left in great terms with the ship. Coming back to Las Vegas I want to dive into ministry here. I feel that I am not stepping away from ministry at all but rather returning to one of the worst three cities in the world. I am eager to volunteer with the YWAM base downtown as well as continue other ministries I have been apart of for the past 3-4 years. I just sent in my application for attending Hope International University. I am looking at taking their online courses from home here. That way I will still be able to be involved with what my heart desires here as well as going to University.

For those that live in Las Vegas and have stayed updated I would love to meet with you and talk through the past 10 months on the boat or the past year and a half in missions abroad. As for now I am looking for a job now and helping my parents who are in the middle of moving houses. I have really enjoyed the little bit of rest I am getting and that I need after all of this time being away.

I’ll stay updated with the ministries I’m involved with here and what God is doing in Las Vegas. Last night I was able to attend the Holy Spirit Conference at ICLV (International Church of Las Vegas) and listen to Bill Johnson, a pastor from Bethel Church in Redding, California. I have stayed spiritually afloat by listening to his podcasts while I have been away and it was an amazing opportunity and blessing to hear him live.

Here are some of the places God has taken me in the past 10 months of being on the boat. This doesn’t even include my 6 month Discipleship Training School beforehand.

Back in Europe! Istanbul, Turkey on the Europe side coming alongside to get fuel and water. I was on the forward spring line. We always had to coil the lines and keep them clean.

We had a bbq along keyside and invited people throughout the day to come and have free food. This is Mark Phillip from Bulgaria. He is German/Bulgarian and his parents are missionaries who have helped us greatly there. He’s also a drummer and we had awesome times jamming and teaching him little drumstick tricks.
